Pat Parker is a full-time studio potter, living in Weston, Florida. She discovered pottery at a class she went to as a favor to a friend. The friend quit, but Pat got bitten by the bug, and the rest is history. Pat lives with her husband who is her pottery craft show partner and glazing helper, one large cat and a Shih Tzu with an attitude. Her two grown sons and their families, enjoy getting and using her many gifts of pottery. Most of Pat's work is one of a kind, wheel thrown and/or hand built, however, recently she has been working on a few lines of coordinating tableware. Because Pat believes color and texture are very important, most of her glazes are made in the studio and are carefully formulated to complement the individual pieces. She believes function and beauty can co-exist and she strives to combine the two. Pat Parkers Stoneware Pottery can be seen on her website at http://www.stonewarepottery.net/ and can also be purchased at her etsy shop www.patspottery.etsy.com .
