| My name is Nikki MacCallum. My mother taught me how to sew when I was 12, and I have been designing and sewing ever since!
After obtaining my diploma in Fashion Design and Merchandising I operated a custom-sewing and alterations business in Vancouver, and also taught adult and children’s sewing classes while my children were small.
I moved to Vancouver Island in 1994, received training from a professional drapery workroom and have worked with several top interior designers in Nanaimo and Victoria, creating window coverings, pillows, slipcovers and bedding for show homes, businesses, and residential houses all over Vancouver Island. I have always loved to work with natural fabrics and have encouraged my clients to make healthy and environmentally friendly fabric choices.
In 2008 I started my own line of eco-friendly home décor items, called NikkiDesigns.
In the spring of 2009 I completed my Interior Design and Decorating Certification.
My goal is to provide a comfortable, relaxed shopping experience. I strive to accomodate every client's tastes, needs and budget. I am constantly expanding my product line and I stay on top of current design trends. I believes in making things that will last, that are beautiful and functional. I use eco-friendly fabrics and products whenever possible, because I want our Earth to be a healthy place for generations to come. |
